Job Description:
We are seeking a full time clothing and fashion designer with expertise in the design of SE Asian clothing to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will bring their specialised knowledge and skills to an already thriving marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Analysing fashion tends across SE Asia, researching materials, developing design concepts.
- Creating technical sketches and specifications for garments.
- Choosing appropriate fabrics, colours, and trims to realise the design concepts.
- Overseeing the creation of samples.
- Refining designs and managing production.
- Presenting designs.
Qualifications:
- RQF Level 3 qualification or higher (equivalent to A-levels, BTEC Nationals, or Advanced vocational training in art or fashion).
- Strong artisic and design skills, including the ability to sketch, visualize in 3D, and translate ideas into tangible designs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, and production processes, in particular regarding SE Asian fashion styles.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in design specification and production.
